My name is Christina Moore and I am an Adjunct Instructor in Biology at the College of Western Idaho in Nampa, Idaho. For the past five years, I have been teaching fully online courses in Biology and Human Anatomy and Physiology. Science education is my passion! Before beginning a career in education, I completed both a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Plant Science from the University of Idaho. I have worked in both the Biotechnology and Horticulture industries, performing research on agricultural crop improvement, genetic transformation, and in-vitro plant propagation.
With online learning increasing opportunities for student access to continuing education, I have been fortunate to assist in the development of new, fully online laboratory courses in biology and anatomy and physiology. My early experiences developing and facilitating online biology courses ignited an interest in educational technology and motivated my own desire for furthering my in Educational Technology at Boise State University. The artifacts found within this website represent the culminating activities for completing the Master of Educational Technology program at Boise State University. These artifacts demonstrate my competency in the skills outlined in the AECT standards, with a rationale paper and reflective video which summarizes my education in Educational Technology.
